7/9/2023 This very cool song was written by Otis Redding, Allen Jones, and Al Bell, recorded in 1967, and released in 1968. The Crowes version, released in 1990, really kicked butt, but only charted mediocre, which doesn’t make any sense. Seventeen other artists tried their hand.
