S.O.D. "Boiled Beef and Carrots" by Harry Champion

2/28/2021 This comedic tune was recorded in 1909. The English comedian, singer, and music hall composer made his debut in East London at the age of 17. Born William Henry Crump in 1865, he would use the stage names, Will Conray, and then Harry Champion, which he is most known by. Champion had a large repertoire of songs and was one of the more successful acts of his era. One of his songs you may recognize is “I’m Henery the Eighth, I Am.”
