11/25/2021 Who hasn’t heard this song? Not many of us most likely know the title, or that it’s a Thanksgiving song, or has been used as such. The tune dates back to the early 1800s, when it was a popular song for fiddle players. The music is based on the Irish ballad, “The Old Rose Tree,” published in 1795.
