S.O.D. "Skokiaan" by Ralph Marterie

6/4/2020 Zimbabwe musician, August Mussrurwa composed this popular instrumental in 1946.  Marterie’s version in 1954 made it to #2 on the charts.  More than 90 versions would eventually be composed.  The genre for the tune is Tswana-Tsaba, a South African urban dance rhythm first emerging in the 30s.
