S.O.D. "Yancey Special" by Isidore "Tuts" Washington

9/10/2018     This Louisiana blues pianist learned to play at the age of 10 under the tutelage of Joseph Louis "Red" Cayou, who was a jazz pianist.  Washington would blend elements of blues, boogie-woogie, Ragtime and jazz. His career lasted around 60 years until his death in 1984.  His particular style of music is known as New Orleans rhythm and blues.
