S.O.D. "Unbreakable" by Fireflight

1/15/2016     Although this group is dubbed with a Christian rock genre, the hard rock and post grunge come through strongly in this tune about overcoming circumstances from your past.  I would describe it as explosive and music that keeps drawing you in so that you must keep listening.  

     The reception from critics was all positive and bassist Wendy Drennen comments that the song is about "overcoming a defeated mentality and finding the power to remain strong amid the landscape, not allowing fear to hold us back from having victory over the things that used to control us." It held the #1 spot on R&R Magazine's Christian rock format for 3 weeks and was nominated for a Dove Award.  

     The Group formed in Orlando, Florida in 1999 and so far have released five albums, being nominated for nine awards. They've gotta win one soon.
