S.O.D. "I Can't Quit You Babe" by Led Zeppelin

12/25/2014     Written by blues/Rock/gospel musician Willie Dixon in 1956, it helped Dixon to get his first two record companies off the ground, becoming the first single for both.  The tune is based on a relationship between blues musician, Otis Rush and an unmentioned woman.  Rush was the first musician to record the song.

Dixon was one of the most influential blues and even rock musicians of his era.  Many rock musicians have done versions of his songs, making an appearance on their debut albums.
