4/7/2023 Written by composers, Sid Wayne and Sherman Edwards. The Tempos, a vocal group from Pittsburgh, were the first to record it and make it a top 40 hit in 1959. New Jersey pop group, The Happenings, saw their version go to #3 in 1966. It is part of the American Graffiti soundtrack.
