10/5/2022 This five piece Australian rock band has been active since 1989. They have released nine studio albums, 5 EP’s, and 26 singles. In their early days, fights would often break out at their concerts between Newcastle fans, the band’s hometown, and Sydney fans. Things have since settled down.

10/1/1022 Although you most likely do not know this rock group very well, or maybe have never heard of them, they are considered one of the most influential and quintessential groups of all time. They emerged from Memphis, Tennessee in 1971, was active till 1975, then took an 18 year hiatus. During their second span, lasting 17 years, many things changed, and even more of an impression was left on the listening world.

9/26/2022 Alphonsus Celestine Edmund Cassell (Arrow), was active for 51 years. He would’ve kept going if cerebral cancer hadn’t taken him from us in 2010. Cassell began performing at the age of 10, and started winning competitions at the age of 18. He was the first real star to emerge from the West Indies. Thirty albums and nine released singles are to his credit. Many artists came up with their own rendition, but only a few are listed.
9/25/2022 This 1970 folk rock tune is from the duo’s final album, “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” It appeared in nine films and some other media spots, and charted at #4 in Indonesia. It charted nowhere else. How odd.

9/23/2022 Hard to pin down the meaning of this song. Could have to do with Noah, or a more recent historical flood. The song certainly sends out different messages. This was the band’s breakthrough hit in 1995. Jars of Clay is out of Greenville, Illinois, and has been active since 1993.

9/21/2022 Very cool song from Bishop’s 1974 album, “Let It Flow.” The shoes on a touring musician travel further than just about anyone’s. Bishop is still active at 79, in his 59th musical year. ENJOY!!
9/20/2022 The three Wilson brothers, Charlie, Robert, and Ronnie were the gap band, from 1967 to 2010. They managed 23 top 40 hits and had many supporting musicians. Their name comes from three streets in their Tulsa, Oklahoma neighborhood; Greenwood, Archer, and Pine.
