S.O.D. "Sing Me Back Home" by Merle Haggard

7/19/2020  The narrator in the song is a prison inmate, and it just so happens that Haggard spent three years in prison for a botched robbery. The basis for the song are two inmates that Haggard had an acquaintance with.  Both of these men were eventually executed. Merle wrote the song.
